Hi Bob,

I never said I thought the sell-off yesterday was from conversions or from shorters. I posted yesterday a calculation which, right or wrong, easily accounted for the volume without any conversions.

IMO, the sell-off can be easily attributed to the fact that a lot of RNTK stock is held by day traders. These people are either in cash or in stocks that they think are about to move (up). With the big news out, and no near term sign of details, these people decided to sell and use their money elsewhere. Heck, even I sold some when it was clear that it wouldn't break 1 1/2.

2.5M shares. That's 600 people buying 2000 shares and 600 people selling 2000 shares in this great big country of ours. Rather than focus on why there was selling, maybe we should focus on the 30M+ shares that DID NOT TRADE on the big news. If they were inclined to sell, yesterday was the day. Something to think about.

Regards,
Chris

Why didn't RNTK news hit the Texaco newswires?
Did someone forget how to write a PR or is Texaco releasing their own?
