The TM effect! LOL, Tokyo, I should have known you were behind the unusual volume move the last 2 days. But there was another ingredient: Collapse of American dollar. This makes the ruble go up in value. VIP reports in US$, so earnings could be said to increase. DocStone

A good chance the institutions bailed on the way down, exacerbating the decline. Perhaps they are repurchasing. Could be a large number Mon, Tues, but half will be profit takers. Other 1/4 short coverers. Other 1/4 new money, momentum players. Price movement, up or down 1.50, without serious enthusiasm. Part of the cause of the upswing of course was the comment by western bank group indicating support. My target, $12 area, before we see which way the rubles roll. Best, Savant.
