>>I agree that it is disappointing that the Internal version of HiFD will not be available until January or so. This is because Teac will be making most if not all of the internal versions, and Teac needs a couple of extra weeks to re-tool manufacturing from making 1.44 floppies to HiFD drives.<<

Rocky -

OK, I just have to call you on this one. "Teac need a couple of extra weeks to re-tool".

What is your source for this?

Are you telling us all that Teac is just now finding out that HiFD is coming? Are you telling us that it will only take a couple of weeks to re-tool a factory line to go from making floppy drives to HiFD? Are you telling us that Sony and its partners are so uncoordinated that they couldn't manage to roll out the external and internal HiFD at the same time? I would find any of these things very difficult to believe.

I submit that you have no real information about this, and you are just making assumptions. I believe you are making things up in your own head and then stating them as facts.

How does that jibe with your claims of bringing the truth to us all?
