Did anyone notice October 19, 1998 falls on a Monday (flashback to Oct. 19, 1987)?

Could be "Black Monday II: The Return of the Big Kahuna".

Well sounds to me like the only ones right are you and I Vitas. <g>

I did not know of Fleck back then and just recently ran across him but what I have heard him say RECENTLY sure sounds right to my DUMBA ears.

IMHO, just the waving of the G7 and IMF's magic wand will not change things for a while yet and I think we will see lower numbers than we have seen so far. If I am wrong then I may have to wait in cash a little longer because I am not buying into what I see so far. I honestly think what some are seeing as a rally is really a result of the hedge funds trying to cover their butts. Some position trading going on here but overall money is coming out of this market.

I think the buying we saw taking place the first part of Sept may have been real but last weeks (more specifically Thursdays) IMHO was not. Thursday was an anomaly.

BTW, My Mc said sell last Friday and I unloaded the MF's that I had taken a small position in a few weeks prior. I can buy them cheaper now.

IMHO, this is not over by a long shot.

:-)

Monty

<< Fleck. He's been short since 1992>>

Naturally, he's running a short fund. It's his job. What's the problem?

It's like you accuse a bond trader that he trades bonds, or an accountant that he keeps books ...
