You have a knack for putting you thoughts into words, and your thinking seems quite sage (especially amongst the torrent of sewage found on SI). I'd enjoy continuing these discussions with yourself, and others who can offer opinions that go beyond what FORE's closing price will be on Monday.

Some topics:

Leverage and Diversity
From reading of your position in FORE (and intent to increase it), you must either be (relatively) wealthy, or not very diversified. When the market dropped recently, I put my idle cash to work in supposed bargains (like FORE at $15). As prices dipped to "can't go down any farther" levels, I margined 15%. I own several stocks, but most of them are tech stocks (actually, I can only think of Kmart that isn't). My feeling is tech stocks are the place to be. But this seems to fly in the face of popular advice. The only limitation of risk in place is the fact that it is not all in one or two stocks. Any opinions? Until now I have only taken long positions in stocks, but just ordered a copy of "Options as a Strategic Investment", as I think there may be some opportunity with current market volatility.

Other Opportunities
If FORE is a bargain at 10, what of some of the other possibilities? One company that intrigues me particularly at the moment is Dialogic (DLGC). Either they are about to get their fuse lit, or some devastating news is forthcoming. Anyone watching this one? Of some of the other bargains there are those that are severly depressed, but good underlying companies, like FORE and XYLN, and those that seem on the verge of extinction, too many to mention but as examples SHVA, AWRE, WSTL, GDC, MADGF. Are there gems lurking in here that offer the best chance of fast appreciation? Or is this a chance to add more risk to an already uncertain future?

Anyone interested in these discussions, or shall I move to another forum, and leave folks to determine how many minutes it will be before FORE hits $30.

Saving enough for a gun and a bullet,

james
