The Clintons were caught by, I believe Time magazine and paid back the $20,000 in 1993. Case closed. Not an open case to be looked at by Starr.

Clinton already paid the extra tax owed. This was in relation to the phony losses claimed in the Whitewater deal in which the McDougals put up the equity and the Clintons got them the sham loans.

Actually, the fact that Clinton and Gingrich tried to cheat on their taxes would be a point IN THEIR FAVOR to me. I respect anyone who tries to rip off the tax man.
