I believe the business pc market is driven more by employment levels than anything else.

Based upon what drives the buying decisions from the firm i work at and our clients, i would agree. While simple theories usually are the most useful, its important to keep in mind that relationships between variables can change. For example the trend towards telecommuting might drive demand, even if employment levels off, at least in the short run
