I agree with you that the Presidential sex is more depressing than titillating, but clearly a lot of other Americans don't. For that matter, translations of the Starr Report have become bestsellers abroad. Don't tell me that the Egyptians, say, are buying copies like hotcakes because they are so offended by Clinton's lying!

Once again, let me say that I am uncomfortable being asked to defend a position that I never advanced in the first place. Let purething explain what he meant to say.

As for my stocks -- I don't even check my portfolio. I only look at it when times are good.

Nevertheless, be realistic, and recognize that all this impeachment hoo-ha is contributing to the decline in your stocks' value. And it is keeping the administration from paying proper attention to what is a very nasty world-wide economic crisis, which will probably lead to your stocks' tanking still further. That's the trade-off, so gung-ho impeachment fans should not really complain about their portfolios...
