Just read your note...you must have posted it while I was writing this.

I'm sorry to hear that Ella died tonight. It sounds like you did everything you could. Also that she wasn't in pain. Although it is bad to lose an animal, there is also some relief as well because they are free too.

And yes, I'm over what happened to my collies, but I still feel quite badly when I think of them because they were both very young and healthy when they got sick and I should have still had both of them now. However, they had very good lives for the years that they were with me, so I try to think of things that way. After they died, I waited a few months while trying to find out why they got sick, but then I got my collie, Maggie, who is still with me. She was already 2+ years old, and in many ways, she seems to possess a few of the personality traits of each of my other dogs, so it's almost like I still have a little of them with me.
