Or that those already on line represent the most affluent, web savvy components of society, and while the growth is impressive, it's hardly likely to continue at this pace given demographics and the fairly limited types of goods people tend to buy online (also notice that the web is most useful for cars and travel -- two areas that I don't think amzn is entering in the next 12 months or so -- the other products are low margin commodities)
