This quarter the analysts may be made more aware that Amazon's market momentum has begun to crumble and competition is growing more rapidly. Sales should be flat to up 8% - that's much slower than historical rates. With more serious competition now preparing to do battle, any loss of momentum now will foretell greater losses in the years ahead and should dispel some of the wild speculation about future growth and profits surrounding this stock. I don't think the last nail is going to be driven into the coffin until the middle or toward the end of next year - by then the seasonal rally in tech stocks should be over and the competitive and market share factors should become so apparent that even the pimp analysts won't be completely able to ignore them.
