Hi all; The senate is where the tale will be told. Here are a couple of notes and articles regarding three of the disputed senate seats:

POLITICS
The Senate race in California is continuing to look difficult for incumbent Democrat Barbara Boxer. A survey of likely California voters on Nov. 3, released Friday by the independent Field Poll, shows that for the first time Boxer is trailing Republican Matt Fong in a battle both parties are watching closely nationwide.
...
Fong has taken a lead, the poll shows, even though he has less name recognition in the state and fewer campaign dollars than Boxer.

RYAN HOLDING OFF POSHARD
In the contest for the U.S. Senate, the poll found Republican Peter Fitzgerald inching away from incumbent U.S. Sen. Carol Moseley-Braun (D-Ill.)--49 percent to 36 percent--as negative attitudes toward her candidacy and job performance continue to grow.

Here in Washington State, I believe that Linda Smith(R) is falling behind incumbent senator Patty Murray(D). However, Linda Smith is somewhat famous for beating the polling numbers. She was elected to the House recently as a write-in candidate, rare in Washington State political history.
