OT -- Dear Nihil, you're confusing Old Testament values with OT Law, presuming next to tell me what I believe: As an adulteress [Monica] must together with Bill be put to death. As a believer in OT values it seems that you must agree, along with the execution of perhaps a third of the population."

No sir, I don't agree!

The Mosaic Law was for Israel alone. Moses explained: "And what great nation is there that has righteous regulations and judicial decisions like all this law that I am putting before you today? ...He is telling his word to Jacob, and his regulations to Israel. He has not done that way to any other nation." Deuteronomy 4:8, Psalm 147:19

As a Christian I'm under a simplified law: "You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind and with your whole strength, and, You must love your neighbor as yourself." Mark 12:29

As to peace, "without coming to blows:" We march in no army, neither produce nor use weapons, have no blood on our hands. Thousands of Witnesses died in Hitler's camps, imprisoned by many nations for Christian neutrality up to this very day, consistent with service to the Prince of Peace. I'll debate no more with you. Let's agree to disagree without being disagreeable, fair enough?

Have a great week in the market, Hugh!
