Another question for you. Why do you consider shorting stocks a mugs game? It would seem to be only slightly different than going long. I dont buy the unlimited risk because: you cut you losses at some point and trees don't grow to the sky. For example, I might consider IBM a good short in the 130's or Micron even in the mid to high 30's. As put prices get more and more expensive, it sometimes is easier to consider shorting ? Finally, sometimes, the most compelling shorts, do not offer options (same is true with longs)
