Gold Shares:

Hi TATRADER, how is everything with you? I noticed that you are currently interested in PM mining shares. I think that we may well see a big move in gold & silver, which should benefit these shares greatly. The big question is, how to play the move? 2 extremes:

Big NA Producers:
1. Catch first part of gold upward move
2. Move slowly in % terms
3. Less downside risk
4. Possible 3x to 4x move (yes, an arbitrary figure)

Tiny juniors:
1. May move only after seniors
2. Move fast in % terms
3. Risk bankrupcy if PMs don't go up
4. Possible 10x to 20x move (another arbitrary figure)

I'm interested in what you have on your radar screen?

Right now I'm holding GSR, GRERF, PAASF, DROOY, GKR, TLQ, FN, SSRIF & a gold fund. I am tempted to trade some of the bigger moves, but if we look at the recent yen move the hedge funds caused and then imagine what would happen if they did the same to gold (unwinding gold carry positions), it is clear that these shares would be flying!

I am looking at some even smaller cos, but there is almost no trading so it is hard to take a position:

MGLCF
GBGLF
METLF

Penny for your thoughts.......
