Which issue did he not agree with.

We called REFR. An executive confirmed the terms of the S-3 that was filed. Everything is in the S-3. I will not make further comments beyond my previous posts.

Of course you can discuss the technology with whomever you please, I just question the accuracy and credibility of the discussion as you are not qualified to comment on this technology or the patents nor am I.

Like I said, judge your own credibility. As an investor, I always investigate the technology. There is a lot to be said for common sense.

Let me answer the first technology question:

As I saw on the video tape they sent me, the window is in the dark state when the power is off. It is in the clear state when the power is on. By employing alternating current (I will not go into the details), you can achieve shaded states.

Thus if you shut the power off, the window is dark. In a house with REFR windows, the following statement might be heard:

"Honey, can you please turn off the windows and come to bed?"

While looking for information on REFR and smart glass, found this little blurb in a small news letter, "Commuter Register". It mentions SPD technology from Research Frontiers.

N. Dixon, I just spent the last hour on the IBM patent site. I found 18 patents (still effective, namely applied after October 1978) assigned to REFR. I perused through few of them, and it becomes clear to me why it has taken so long to even breach commerciality. It seems that they have concentrated on the technology of particles suspended within a liquid (the Original Land approach), while they should have concentrated on droplets of electrically active material within a solid film. One of the patents even goes through the trouble of providing a very high frequency additional field (400 khz) just to maintain the particles in suspension.

I truly believe that the approach that Doanes, and Raychem are taking (Polymer dispersed liquid crystals or PDLC) has much greater long term stability. Just one persons opinion, and I have been involved with both the electrochromic as well as the PDLC fields.
