Steve, it seems I was not alone in seeing that love of pretension as a bit odd...

Looked up the word in Thesaurus and found a great number of non-flattering entries. But thought I would hold that thought. Then, your note, to which I respond, confirms my suspicion that identifying with pretension is sort of weird. Does that make my Rick attributes rise to two dozen plus one?

Who could speak with any confidence about matters regarding the nature of existence without engaging in pretense? A world history full of pretentious "philosophers" and me.

No, I'm not proud of being pretentious, but I will acknowledge the obvious.
