Maybe it is the way my brain think in english but don't take my comments personel, it's kind of hard for me.

Now, some points.

Michael in my view you are one of the more partial about review, but for some others it is not the case so.

Why would you want a review on ATI, even if i told you sites were you could get reviews if the scores were too high everybody would start flaming the reviewer and say that the number are wrong and not possible...i don't understand the utility for all of you guys because you are all already convince(remember the V-sync chapter). The banshee and the TNT were not even out and nobody one this tread had even tried one and you were saying that the TNT was this and that compared to the banshee.

For those who wonder why ATI wants "chromatic research", maybe you can find some answers there.
I wonder what K.Y Ho (AYI president) would think of the comments on intel dominating the low end PC market next year. (writen before the deal in late august)

Walden, sorry if i was rude.

This one for scott, you wrote

As far as ATI going for the set-top, you really have to have a lot of clout to pull off a new platform. If you can't get content developers to support it in a big way you're screwed from the get-go.

What about windows CE, does that sound familiar, do you want a link? i have many.

Deathmatch audience regarding V2: "I had no idea!"

Results from my weekend Q2 DeathMatch party

We ended up with 10 computers linked, playing Q2 DM 3.19 and some Q1 QuakeWorld mixed in for some of the lower-end systems.

For the most part, I kicked major butt, mainly due to my controller and framerate. (Cel300A o/c'd to 450, 2-Voodoo2, 19" mon, Panther XL - yea!). I convinced many people to buy the Panther, and several want the dual Voodoo2's now. One of the guys, whose son had just built a P2 system with an ATI Rage Pro card said this when he saw Q2 in all it's Voodoo2 glory - "I had no idea the Voodoo made that much of a difference!"

I do have a question for you framerate buffs. On the benchmark sites, it showed a Celeron 300A o/c'd to 450 running Q2 about the same speed as a PII-450. But with dual V2's, I'm only running at about 52FPS. Our PII-400 gets 70FPS. (This is at 1024x768.) The only difference is that the PII system does not have a sound card driver installed and has 2 Monster II's, whereas my Celeron system is running with 1 Metabyte V2 and 1 BlackMagic V2. My system is running SLI BTW, since I can run at 1024x768, and the framerate was much slower before I installed the 2nd card.

Thanks,
Tim
