Foul! You Have Just Committed a No-No! (Standard Insult Warning)

As you can see, the Standard Insult Warning will be issued impartially, to saints and sinners alike...

No matter what the human cost to society in terms of disease, abortions, and very young unwed mothers, the easiest thing for liberals to believe is that all this wonderful sex with no consequence is worth it. It's all so fun, and Joe and Jane
are so much happier when they are sexually sated on a regular basis...& etc. & etc. &etc.& etc..

Granted, this is not a Direct Personal Insult. It is a Generic Insult , directed at an Imaginary Category of Wicked People.

However, I take it personally. I am proud to call myself a liberal. But I never advocated any such thing as the above. I can't speak for Daniel, to whom that post was addressed. Perhaps he would describe himself as a conservative, or a moderate. In any event, he did not advocate any such thing, either.

For that -

Go Directly to Jail. Do Not Pass Go.

The bottom line here in these statistics is this, which you prove in your comments: No matter what the human cost to society in terms of disease, abortions, and very young unwed mothers, the easiest thing for liberals to believe is that all this wonderful sex with no consequence is worth it.

That's your bottom line, of course. How do my comments "prove" this? How do they have anything at all to do with this bizarre assertion? We all know you think "liberals" are the root of all evil. So what?

While you're at it, would you care to give a source for the nice little screed you posted in Message 5988250 ? Somehow, the part after Not true. According to data from the Dept of Health and Human Services, Statistical Abstracts of the United States, the Centers for Disease Control, and the Dept of Commerce, Census Bureau: doesn't sound like something you wrote yourself. In fact, the part after "Not true" doesn't sound like something you wrote yourself.

As to the cause of all this, once again, I'd wager that most people without a religious ax to grind would put a lot more weight on the birth control pill as the cause of the sexual revolution than on the end of prayer in public school. Pinning it all on the lack of school prayer is odd.

As to the stockman part, with apologies in advance to jbe, you are at the very least quite dim for not understanding the reference.

>>> After all, we can't stop 'em! They're all gonna do it, and we don't blame 'em! Uninhibitied no-conseqence sex is just so much fun.

When I was a boy I lived some blocks from the Portland School for Wayward Girls. The worst boys used to go up to the fence and shout insults at the many round young ladies to be found there. The rest of us would just gaze in that hypnotized way. This was of course, before The Pill.

It was built of brick and surrounded by a ten foot chain link fence, topped by barbed wire, pointing in. It was part of the juvenile justice system.

This is where girls went when they got pregnant in the Eisenhower days. Somebody would find out, the juvie cops would show up and haul you away in an official car, just like in Midnight Cowboy. They would then attend the School for Wayward girls, until the baby was born and adopted away, assuming they didn't drop from a window or hang themselves before then. Then they would be ejected, not to return to their normal school, but to travel somewhere far away in shame, to take up their new life as a waitress, if they could get work.

Better days, eh, Dwight, when bad behaviour had consequences and shame was shame.

Cheers,
Chaz
