August,
That 60 seconds execution or free thing was pure BS anyway. It only clouded the actual problem. And isn't that what any reputable broker should strive to do anyway? All the time? Without fail? Market order itself means immediately at the market price. Only exception might be on a very thinly traded stock.

Who cares about the 60 second execution thing when it takes a delay of several minutes sometimes just to get the order entered. AMTD can't execute a thing until you actually enter the order. Now theres the problem. Access speed. Website crashes. Phone waits. Etc.

Wonder when they will step up to the plate for real and make some service quality, website speed, and reliability guarantees????

My guess is never. Exceptional service doesn't seem to be a priority. Just add some more customers. That will solve all the problems. HAH!

Probably tied to end of Oct tax loss selling, I did runinto something
interesting however. It appears Joe Ricketts is a Telescan (TSCN)
stockholder and that telescan has had unusual activity since the
co. announced they were exploring ways to increase shareholder
value and a possible sale.
...look at institutional purchases last 3 mos.
it is apparent someone is acquiring during this selloff. The institutional ownership now shows at about 17 per cent. They have
never had such interest in the stock before. Could it be that a buyer
has been located by Montgomery and the selloff to $3. has made it
much easier for them to acquire the company by loading up at these
prices and then only having to buy considerably fewer shares when
the offer is made. They surely wouldnt be buying if something
wasnt brewing......very, very interesting.....gil
