Joe, I'm afraid that the world has beaten a path to Tuvalu and Razorbak has failed us.

'.TV' Internet domain available

The .TV Corp. announced that the .TV top-level domain name is available for licensing. The company financial terms of its arrangement to handle marketing of the domain, assigned to the South Pacific nation of Tuvalu, said to be the world's smallest country. Under the terms of the contract, the agreement will give Tuvalu the bulk of revenues generated from domain name sales. "Once television-based programmers begin to distinguish themselves with this domain, using streaming video, audio and interactive content, consumers will become even more attracted to .TV Web sites," said Jason Chapnik, president of .TV Corp. Names within the .TV domain will be auctioned to would-be buyers if there is more than one interested party, the company said. Once a domain name is registered, there is an annual renewal fee of $500 -- almost 10 times the fee charged by Network Solutions Inc. (NSOL), the dominant Web registrar.
