Well, you're going to lose on your 67 purchase if DELL is above $60 come November expiration. Furthermore, I believe DELL will probably be in the mid-$70 by December.

Hello Joseph, this is the craziest stock I've ever owned. This stock always seems to make me feel stupid after buying it. But we just had a crash in the Nasdaq, there was no bad news on Dell, only fear in the market. Sorry to hear you lost some money.

I heard somebody on the news say risk is a 4 letter word. I should have known.

Good luck,
Mike

Maybe you people never experience that pain.
Dell has had a painful correction a couple times a year for the last several years. Hang On! It has always come out better than ever and there is no fundamental reason to think they won't be back to their old highs next year.

TP (Who is finding CSCO painful, but is being soothed by Dell)

DELL might have one more tank before the end of October. The best time for this would be THIS WEEK. You might be able to buy back those option you sold at a substantially lower price.

If Dell looked a good stock in mid-July then in the absence of bad company news it is still a good stock regardless of recent market events. In the mid-long term Dell will continue to be a great stock but we can't expect it to be able to resist the kind of southward movements seen in recent weeks. Day trading seems more common in the US than over here in the UK. Here smaller investors tend to try to choose good companies and hold on to them for at least 5 years.
I have Dell, Cisco, Microsoft and Pixar and am prepared to hold for 5 years. I am pretty confident that I won't be disappointed.

Anyone want to predict the Dell price for 12th October 2003?!!
