Tasty Fries Expands Into Saudi Arabia BLUE BELL, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 12, 1998--Management announced today that Tasty Fries (OTC:TFRY) has received advanced payment for delivery of several of it's patented state-of-the-art robotic French fry vending machines from Al Rayat Trading & Marketing International LLC located in Saudi Arabia. The company was provided a demo machine month's ago for field testing and Al Rayat's Managing Director Abdul Salam Abutalib and General Manager Saber Al Smadi commented, "After working with the Tasty Fries machine and seeing it's flawless operation and capability, we are convinced that we can place these machines throughout the Middle East." Tasty Fries President & CEO Ed Kelly, further remarked, "When we shipped one of our machines into that hot Saudi environment, I knew the machine was going to be put to a real test, but it withstood extremely adverse conditions and proved itself a winner." In related news the company is expected to close an alternate financing deal this week to complete production of the first 25 production machines after a private investor failed to perform by a Sept. 30th deadline as agreed. The board has also decided to expand its due diligence into the proposed $4MM acquisition recently announced that would enable the company to qualify for a NASDAQ small-cap listing and a final decision will be announced next week. "In light of recent developments spurred on by unexpected publicity, (The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Wall Street Warrior) we may soon develop our own $4MM asset base and forego the proposed acquisition rather than dilute our shareholders," Kelly added.
