Keith,
I'll respond in this way. The Braves upper-management, Scheurholz (sp) etal., have probably done (in the last 10 years) the best job of grooming homemade talent as opposed to free-market approach. In the last 5 years--they probably have had 12-15 players playing on the Triple AAA level that could have been starters with 20 Major League Teams. Yes, occasionally, they will go after a McGriff or a Gallaraga but those too have been proven very wise moves. Many of their young prospects could already been multi-millionaires if they could have gotten to the "bigs" a little sooner. They have done an outstanding job---problem is---people will forever remember 7 straight appearances and only one title. No fault of management---It's just the simple fact that anything can happen in a short series between professional athletes.
JMO,
Brad

"now I can say "go braves" "

Keith, I think you left out a key word. Didn't you mean to say, GO HOME, BRAVES. :-)

I'll be at the Q tonight to add a few other comments during the game.

Arnie

P.S. Next week the Chargers will announce that they've been invited to join the Canadian Football League. I think that they should accept.
