Jeff: Thanks. The part of your post that hits hard is the part that says, The semicons do not count line yield losses inside their reported "yield" brags. A poor fab might be throwing away tons of whole wafers and still tell the press some optimistic yield figure. I guess everything, like yield reports, needs to be substantiated by multiple sources. I hate to think I don't believe anything I read...but I know that there is a story behind every story that not everyone hears. Hmmm. Glad I can turn to the SI'ers for clarification. dmf
