Guillemot does not discount to resellers, and does not go through the standard distribution channels, as far as I know. I think they do all their sales off the web. Has anyone seen them on shelves? So if it is priced at $229 retail I'm sure you will be able to purchase it at approximately $190 off the shelf or through catalogs. That's closer, but not quite, the price of TnT. Still no 2d....

I want everyone to close their eyes and clear their heads. Forget what you know about TDFX and relax. Then click on this link: 3dfx.com Is that not the most hideous ad you have ever laid your eyes on? Look at again as if for the first time. I asked several of my friends who don't have a wad of cash laid down on the future success of TDFX to look at the web page and let me know what they think through their virgin eyes. "It's pretty stupid" was the general consensus. I hate to put a string of negative posts on this board as I believe in the technology but the managment and ad people have not proven much to me as a stockholder. If you aren't a FPS junkie, are you really going to go past the ugly monkey to learn about SLI? I think not. I know that my attention span is measured in nanoseconds and I don't have time to fart around with some stupid MONKEY!! Show me the goods, impress me or click, you're gone. I'm holding long but getting more anxious everyday. I need to see some execution of short term goals to shore up my faith in their long term success. Let's hope that Oct 15th is good to us and that Chip can talk some sense into these people at Comdex. The fundamentals of this company are becoming the FUDamentals. rant mode off Stuart "nothing against primates" Hall PS. Other than the chimp, I like 3Dfx's website much better than nVidia's. PPS. I'm not looking to debate the merits of various advertising gimmicks, I'm just stating my opinion FWIW.
