I specified disk supplied by manufacturer and put a floppy in the A drive with the NT drivers. NT added the SCSI adapter to the list of components. The NT found list now has the IDE CDROM and the SCSI adapter. When I continue NT tells me I do not have a harddrive. Do I need to get drivers for the SCSI harddrive too? If the SCSI drive works in Win95 can I assume that no configuration changes have to be made in the mobo and or SCSI bios to make it work in NT? Does it make a difference if the Adaptec SCSI bios is enabled? Adaptec Instructions for installing adapter during the NT installation . For Ultra2 host adapters, Select the "Adaptec AHA-294xU2/ AIC-7890/91 PCI Ultra2 SCSI Controller(NT 4.0)" and press ENTER. 7 If you want to add other host adapters (that are not a part of the 7800 Family), do so at this time by pressing 'S' and repeating step 5 for each additional adapter and inserting the appropriate disk provided by the hardware manufacturer. The Adaptec 7800 Family host adapters use the same driver;it is not necessary to install the AIC78XX.SYS or AIC78U2.SYS driver again. 8 Press ENTER to continue with the Windows NT operating system setup.
