Its all about earnings and outlook. I'm in for the short term because the co didn't warn and I think the earnings will be fine. A decent cc should then spook some shorts and we'll have almost a double from here. I think talk of a buy out is almost irrelevant but I'd like that to happen too.

I may not be a buyer today, but I'm not a seller either. If the stock goes lower, I may increase my position.

The one surefire method I have to make this stock go up is to sell my shares. It's always worked in the past. I don't how they know it, but they do. Selling some of my position doesn't work, I have to sell the whole thing.

I guess you guys will have to get the price up the hard way.

Eric, not sure where you are getting your .68 CIEN number, but this is more a best case number than worst case. Current estimates for fiscal '99 range all the way down to .20. The number given by Yahoo are very dated. I suggest you page back through the SI CIEN thread. Glenn Rudolph has posted many up-to-date earnings revisions for '99 an they aren't pretty. Also, Yahoo currently has .05 for this Q, when the actual is -.04 (yes, that's minus). Be careful.
