Hi Gersh,..Re:Well the yen seems to be pulling back. Seems like it should be good for the long bond.

Part of the strength on the long bond over the past 12 - 18 months has been dollar but who knows how much redemption of bonds, Clinton gate or media hyping of a recession is going to affect dollar.

It's difficult to imagine that the Japanese economy is turning around immediately and they are getting capital infusion from private pension funds which means they don't have to liquidate dollar denominated investments at once. I expect that the equilibrium level will take some months, if not longer, to approach given the starting points.
