bw and papaya, what is your recommendation for a national mortgage refinance company? I am looking for one myself.

Today's market is strong all day but the close can be interpreted in two ways - either a close on weakness or a trading profit taking with more bullruns to go tomorrow. There is no way of knowing the next trend until the DOW moves 100 pt in either direction. A lot of shorts are hurting now and they are srambling to cover. Only the heroic ones like LT will stay shorts in the face of the bullrun. If they are wrong they get wiped out. Another day of 200 pt upmove will break alot of short backs. I do believe those shorts who covered will come back for more but they are not pulling the trigger until they see the en mass selling. Thus the big swings once again.

As a speculative short, I shorted INTV this afternoon. Did not buy NEM. Patiently waiting for the evil tower and GIFI to come down again... KRB has a huge gap to fill till 17 1/2. Will be a good short candidate if it gets above $20. $21 is a strong resistence.

you forget that all commodities are priced in dollars.

question for ya... what happens when the dollar falls relative to other currencies? Now, think about what that does to gold.

then you'll get closer to what I am thinking.
