aha - you inadvertently answered my question, which is why that
shows up clearly on SPY and DIA and not at all on SPX and DJIA.

but now, do you happen to know why the SPY and DIAmond
closed below the indices they represent? Do they normally
trade at a discount or is that a meaningful divergence?

GoGO is a trend follower and full of BS. In any case speaking of TA, IMHO we had a classic shooting star today, gap open long handle and close at or below opening, which is bearish short term.


Her only problem is she starts following the trend with a few years of delay. She'll turn bearish again when economy gets out of recession. <G>
