Consider yourself lucky. I don't know too many folks who invest in tech stocks that would consider 1997-1998 "quite all right" ;-)

But Java hasn't turned out to be such a great language - Write once..Crash everywhere."

So true. I have consistently played with Java (being a programmer and all), but I have never liked the language. It doesn't even do what it is proported to do with any kind of efficiency or grace. All in all I would have to say that Java was 99% imagination 1% perspiration ;-)
