Just a heads up.... CNBC is reporting that the Monsanto/AHP deal is off. That would mean that a cox-2 inhibitor is back on the market. That would also mean that two of the largest (the two largest?) agrichem companies are the major MLNM partners.

So.... the largest producer of aspirin in the world is downstairs big-time from Monsanto/MLNM. Since the research programs do not overlap, there's no danger to MLNM (IMO). But, I've long thought that Bayer was a better partner, big-time, for Monsanto. If (big if) Bayer starts to get mentioned as a new suitor, there might be a knee jerk that would have a negative impact on MLNM. The short-term speculation will likely fall back to DuPont rather than Bayer.

Gawwwwd, if we only had control of, say, 50% of that Conoco money!
