In contradiction to your initial posting I won't go long lawyer cos.?

-the more educated investors do get, also because of threads like SI
-and the more money is divided to savvy investors
->chances to get burned will decrease

Definitely, symmetric information between principal (ordinary shareholder) and agent (ie company management) should be approached.
It is necessary to show fraudulent management the consequences for any misrepresentations, but we have to find some proactive means.

Better, damage is avoided before than relief won in tedious lawsuits.

Therefore I consider lawyers as "last resort" and being necessary from time to time - as "threat". No longterm long.
