Thanks for the clarification. I remember him saying if the DOW breaks 7400 it could go to 6500. Have I got this right? I have to take my hat off to him, he did make the correct call the last time.

Do you have any feel for how much of this market activity is due to the hedge fund unwinding?

Tonight on Nightly Business Report an MM stated that historically Bear markets have lasted 18 months. So there is another number for our memory banks to remember.

Things we agree on: Bear markets end. New Bull markets like different stocks. Hot Internet stocks will be replaced with a new investment darling. Starting the cycle all over again.

Unless we get caught in one of those long down cycles. Well, let's not even go there. I just found the 18 month number interesting. <g>
