FWIW I don't buy the recession scenario-unless we are talking about one of those "technial" recessions that no one knows about until it's over. The FED has a huge money creation well to dip into and no inflation danger to scare it off. The rest of the developed world has already started.

I think what we will see is about a year of lower yet positive earnings, with depressed estimates by analysts that become ever more easy to beat. Y2K is probably overblown as David said, but it could trigger the last dip in both the economy and markets before a long recovery. All IMO, of course, and I especially think that micro's like RNTK and a few others we know of have already arrived at their cyclical bottoms. I believe these stocks will begin a sustained rise sometime between now and year-end, and will be well along as the big "nifty" stocks are making their race down to catch up with the 35% average fall of the NYSE stocks.
