Digicom Systems Will Include Smith Micro's New All-In-One Web Communications
Software with Its Latest Analog Modem Line

ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Smith Micro Software, Inc.
(NASDAQ:SMSI) today announced an addition to its existing bundling agreement
with Creative Technology, Ltd. (NASDAQ:CREAF) and its subsidiary, Digicom
Systems, Inc., a leading supplier of stand-alone and rack-mounted data/fax,
T-1, and ISDN modems. During the fourth quarter of 1998, Digicom Systems will
begin incorporating Smith Micro's new Internet CommSuite(TM) software package,
in addition to Smith Micro's QuickLink(R) MessageCenter III software, into its
latest line of high performance analog modems.
Internet CommSuite is a new, all-in-one Internet communications package
that merges multiple Web communications into one fully integrated, easy-to-use
package. With Internet CommSuite, PC users can phone, fax, video phone, send
audio and video e-mail and conduct other interactive activities over the
Internet -- with a single piece of communications software. Internet
CommSuite is optimized for both traditional analog modems and newer broadband
technologies such as cable and xDSL.
"We chose to bundle Smith Micro's new Internet CommSuite because it
provides a wealth of important Web-based features for today's Internet-savvy
PC users," said Raj Johal, Director of Marketing for Digicom Systems. "We
ultimately selected the Smith Micro solution because it provided the superior
performance needed to take advantage of our new high-speed modem line."
"We have enjoyed and appreciated our past association with Digicom Systems
and are pleased that this company has chosen to bundle our new Internet
CommSuite package," said Laura A. Raybin, Smith Micro's Director of Marketing.
"Our fully integrated Internet communications program is an ideal solution and
innovative way for Digicom Systems to provide even greater value to its
customers."
The versatile Internet CommSuite gives users all the software capabilities
needed to talk for free over the Internet, place video phone calls, send
Internet faxes that bypass long-distance phone charges, create audio or
audio/video e-mails, use an Internet answering machine, and more. All
functions are activated from a single-click, easy-to-use software interface
that resembles a TV remote control.

Savoirman:

Did the Singapore Parliment act on the stock buy back approval?
Any info on this would be helpful. I know Creative set Nov. 6 for shareholder meeting and would assume that the parliment gave it's ok.
