Digicom Systems Will Include Smith Micro's New All-In-One Web Communications
Software with Its Latest Analog Modem Line

(NASDAQ:SMSI) today announced an addition to its existing bundling agreement
with Creative Technology, Ltd. (NASDAQ:CREAF) and its subsidiary, Digicom
Systems, Inc., a leading supplier of stand-alone and rack-mounted data/fax,
T-1, and ISDN modems. During the fourth quarter of 1998, Digicom Systems will
begin incorporating Smith Micro's new Internet CommSuite(TM) software package,
in addition to Smith Micro's QuickLink(R) MessageCenter III software, into its
latest line of high performance analog modems.
Internet CommSuite is a new, all-in-one Internet communications package
that merges multiple Web communications into one fully integrated, easy-to-use
package. With Internet CommSuite, PC users can phone, fax, video phone, send
audio and video e-mail and conduct other interactive activities over the
Internet -- with a single piece of communications software. Internet
CommSuite is optimized for both traditional analog modems and newer broadband
technologies such as cable and xDSL.
