The only explanation that seems plausable to me is that the "deal"
may be in jeopardy. The stock performance of FRSH is very strange.

I believe that they probably are buying in small lots that don't move the price up. If it were me - I would drag out the deal as long as I could so as to scare some investors into selling their stock. I'm holding and buying when the price seems soft enough. I don't want to drive the price up either - :-)
