I would think that Dell would probably offer such a Xeon machine.

Their BTO methodology would allow them to introduce it quite rapidly assuming they used available Slot 2 Motherboards from Asus, Tyan, SuperMicro or Intel.

Compaq seems focused on the $699 PC business and IBM is , well, IBM - a little unpredictable.
