You're right. It does not mean anything.
By the way, its a little early to say anything, but futures are already falling.

To elaborate on this issue further, from the TA point of view,

Point gain is impressive, volume is not. Rise on a falling volume has never been a good sign. Look at the DJIA.

good post about Acampora and consistent with what I've seen from 2 other respected analysts about short term trading range. I suspect we are closer to top of trading range than bottom and that it may last a while. when Acampora turned bearish on market, it rallied then fell. now that he is short term bullish we may see the opposite while staying within range.
