Jim- Your staying power is admirable. But are you just locked in to your view out of habit or possibly ego? This thread is just chock full of folks that want to cut sgi ANOTHER break. And it's all based on hope. Allow me some trite cliches which I feel are not trite in this case:

Where's the beef?

It's the bottom line, stupid!

Fool me once, shame on you...

Yes I did visit the SGI campus- twice in the past five years. Both times the products they showed us were neat but did not make you see dollar signs. The atmosphere the first time seemed unexciting. I was pretty quiet and didn't learn much. The second time was just after Ed quit. People seemed too content and again uninspired. This time I
interrogated Bonnie Mott (see 5224). She became very defensive and offended, like she had the right to piss my money away. Arrogance! That is their greatest flaw. They're too friggin arrogant to cater to investors or customers. The Everest Initiative! The "height" of their folly! Did you hear the press conference announcing this one? Your kid could have done a better job. The media was left wondering why they bothered.

They think they are climbing Everest. They are a legend in their own minds, and a crackup in everyone else's. A legend is only a lonely boy when he goes home alone. (Thank you Carly Simon.)
