OFF TOPIC BUT LOTS OF FUN ANYWAY
Keith, the last two nights have been goose bump time from start to finish. I'm emotionally drained. From the Padres' wind sprints before the game until the end last night, it was nonstop bedlam. Sunday night the crowd, including me, felt like the air had been let out of our balloon when Galarraga did the dirty deed. Last night was different. I really thought that we had them just where we wanted them. In fact, I expected Tony Gwynn would tie the game in the 9th. He didn't. This morning's Union-Tribune headline says it all "Tears and fears". Yep, that's it.

Unlike Sunday when Bochy screwed up by bringing in Randy "loser" Myers, Bochy did exactly the right thing last night by bringing in Brown. When I saw Brownie warming up, I realized that Bochy stepped out of character and was going for the kill. Good for him. They beat our best and you can't say much about it. As Arnold Schwarzenhagger (sp.) said, "We'll be back."

If you can find better baseball games than the Padres post season games, watch them.

Arnie

P.S. On the positive side, World Series tickets go on sale in San Diego today and maybe last night's loss will keep some folks home. My fingers are crossed.
