I thought our comments about the same indicators was interesting. In evaluating the figures you posted I made judgements on how I would trade those numbers for a speculation. One reason I hesitate to say anything about direction of the market clearly on SI is because we all have different reasons for using the same data.

In using the DJX, I can count on about a 1/4 point for every 100-point move in the DJI. Since I am buying time with options, I tend to focus on immediate results. When I go long on a stock for investment purposes, I would be considering long term gains and average rates of gain. Your read of the figures would be consistent with my views when I am investing and buying stocks because I have a timeframe of a year or more.

In reading the posts on SI, it is important for everyone to understand that our speculation or investment colors our interpretation of data--at least to some extent. Quite often, people can have opposing views and trades and still make money.

I was looking at the analysis I do of A/D and volume and I found striking similarities between tomorrow and 1/23/98. That period was also supported by double .60s on the ARMs instead of the double .50s.

Do you see anything of interest for tomorrow. I am looking at the 7850 area in the DJI.
