Elwood; You and me both. I bought cpq in the summer of 97. The problem is - things won't change until there are substantial earnings and the belief on wall street that there will be continued substantial earnings growth. That is not the case today. Too many big name analysts and fund managers still don't believe that cpq will be able to grow earnings. They are quite convinced that earnings growth in high priced business sector and IT services sector will be dragged down by diminishing profits in the consumer pc sector. Whether they are right or not is entirely irrelevant. The fact is that is what is believed and therefore it shall be so until some facts come along changing that perception. That may take a few quarters yet unless of course they are right. In that case through in the towel.

Agreed, I'm uncomfortable with how CPQ is acting and there have been HUGE downtick sells the morning. Maybe people, including those on the YAHOO thread know something. But, of course, each day's beginning doesn't foretell its close. Michael
