Very good E. I am impressed! Russia indeed was run by a drunk and his cronies, but so is every farm and oil-field... But the money that went to Russia (extortion as it was) was not paid blindly...There are not total idiots in Western Gvn....The Money that Germans and USA and others "wasted" since end of Cold War in fact were" payments " for orderly disintegration of Massive Red Army Machine.....In case of Germans it was also for orderly removal of occupational force....Any Civil Unrest in Russia would be a disaster (Not sure it can be avoided, perhaps modified by bribing new leaders...) As it stands now, forget about shelters in Canada, how about would be Chernobyls (many of them) and if you are European, one would be much better of in Canada...:(..So Russia would get more money..blach hole it is, no doubt....
