Gersh:

The rally in treasuries continues to weaken in the longer maturities. This is going to be a nail-biter until a decision is made. It could go either way. I have to leave the screen so I will probably end up as a bystander.

Gersh; When you don't see the money move it's gone to money heaven,
stock prices don't represent money, just what the Specialist and
Market makers "think" people will pay for them. They are not always
right about that either. With out buyers stocks fall of their own
weight, and the supposed money they represented just vanishes
into thin air.
The last rally was on low volume, lower interest rates seem to have
stimulated call buying..but call buying won't help the market.
If we don't go down by Friday it just sets up a bigger fall
in the next week or so.
There seems to be a shortage of real buyers, with funds jumping
from one issue to the next trying to get position without
putting additional money in pot.
