He must have been misquoted by 3 orders of magnitude. There are 1.3 billion people in China (not trillion), so 1/300 of that works out to about 4.3 million PCs, which is still a very healthy number.

Tulvio,
Hi!! <<Let's see -- 1/300*1.3*10^12 works out to more than 4.3 billion PCs. Is Michael Dell given to exaggeration of this magnitude, or was he misquoted>>

Let's see...Michael IMO doesn't exaggerate...I joke constantly about mortgaging the dog house had he been more "accurate" in his upbeat statements...:o)...of course I am fortunate that I did recognize that smile and grin on his face that caused me to run to the phone and call my broker...what do I think he is attempting to tell those who trust his vision ?? BUY DELL.....BUY ALL THE DELL YOU CAN.....
DELL IS THE NEXT DELL....perhaps even a better Dell than the previous one... :o)

I took a walk in the colorful woods the other evening...sunset was upon us and the colors coming through the huge trees was undescribable...sat on the back knoll and watched nature in all it's glory...then it hit me again...."China could be the #2 market for Dell in five years..." Now, here is a vision I can't imagine...Anyone have any idea what the splits and share price of Dell would be by then??? Some things just can't be exaggerated...

Best, Kemble
