Scott, that SG Cowen post was great news. Dell pulling away from the field. We need to remember this when the bears return.

Alex Brown Conference Notes:
To All:

Only have a moment...Gotta go back in.

1)Mgmt. remains bullish about the PC mkt. outlook, they are estimating a 17% CAGR from 1998 to 2000.They are basically saying there is NO CHANGE from the Analyst meeting 2 weeks ago.

2)Alex Brown analyst(Rueppel) sensed a concern over the potential for growth due to the global issues and the effect on Information tech. spending. All in all, DELL feels that they will continue to grow mkt. share.

3)component pricing seems to be firming.
Dell continues to be confident on supply.

4)Falling ASP on Corp. desktop expected to be offset by servers and laptops. Dell feels that growth relys on server and storage.

5)Looking for South America and China to be the next expansion areas.

6)Alex Brown remains their neutral rating and is concerned about valuations and economic uncertainties.
