My views are unpopular and I have a family.

SI is a great source of information and exchange of ideas, but it is faceless. Humans are capable of almost anything. Some require scapegoats.

I said I understood.

David,
Why do you keep responding to this birdstuff? He is an egomaniac who likes to hear himself speak. He seldom has any productive information or discussion on C-Cube and likes to post his little essays on bear markets. I doubt he'll ever realize this is not the right venue for his little missives and post on appropriate threads. Perhaps he should start his own (maybe call it "as the bird craps") and see how many people follow him over to it.

Now for a Cube question: does Cube have any type of working relationship with Apple at this point? It does not look like they make the DVD card for their Powerbooks (which is good, since that particular product is quite disappointing). Are they working with Apple on any future product development? I would not be surprised to see Steve Jobs make a major commitment to this format. To be honest, their have been few applications and little real use of DVD's on PC's. It will take someone like Jobs, who is willing to push the envelope, to develop many useful PC based applications.

Thanks,
Scott
