Maybe since KNI will be better than 3DNow, the only area where Katmai will outperform K7 will be "alien mutant blasting" applications (TM Elmer).

The K7 is to be 9 issue. Would someone care to tell me how these are broken down. Is it 5 int and 4 fp, or what?

I haven't figured it out yet from the minimal press releases, but does the K7 use ON-CHIP L2 cache or merely have a backside bus for addressing OFF-CHIP L2 cache?

The L1 on-chip cache seems pretty clear - 128 KiloBytes.
